The Society’s Trust Fund can provide financial support for the following:

Educational Programmes

Travel to, and participation in conferences

Research Grants

Small Grants

This fund offers small grants of up to £250 to contribute to the costs of further professional qualifications, travel to, and attendance at conferences in which the applicant is participating, or a small research project.

 These are available to existing members of the society and to non-members who are nominated by someone who has been a member for at least 1 year. Non-members must become members of SSR before the award is paid.

Applications will only be accepted on the official form and can be made at any time. Please allow at least 6 weeks for a response

Applications are considered 3 times a year, at the end of April, August and December.

The successful applicant is subsequently expected to produce a written report for the Trustees and may be asked to present the work at a future meeting of the SSR.

The Fund also on occasions awards a larger sum of money as a special scholarship.
